مستخلص: The article presents a research paper which aims to identify the significant roles in the informal organizational structure or informal networks and their contributions in the performance of companies. It characterizes the informal role that synthesises expertise, problem solving and accessibility. It employs a social network analysis (SNA) methodology-based in-depth analysis of informal structure, which was applied in a case study of a knowledge-based enterprise in the information systems industry. Results identify opinion leaders, bootlenecks, and consultants and the pilus prior and provides steps to increase cooperation and knowledge sharing inside the company.
