    Alternate Title: International Experiences in the Role of Academic Departments in Supporting Student Clubs to Develop their Leadership Spirit: Saudi Universities' Reality and Expectations. (English)

    Abstract (English): The study aimed to identify international experiences in the role of academic departments in supporting student clubs to develop the leadership spirit among students in Saudi universities (between reality and hope) and to identify the successful experiences of some countries in supporting the academic departments of student clubs. It also reviewed the role of these departments in supporting student clubs to develop the spirit of leadership among students. It is hoped that the academic departments will help support the student clubs to develop this spirit and address the problems and obstacles that the academic departments faced in previous studies. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey method was used based on the questionnaire as a tool and a random sample of 370 students. The faculty members were chosen from King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University and Prince Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University. The questionnaire consisted of 23 phrases organized into two rubrics after verification of its validity by arbitrators. The results showed that the reality of the role of academic departments in supporting student clubs to develop their leadership spirit was at a low level, and that the agreement among the members of the study sample was very high on Proposals that are eligible to help support student clubs for the development of leadership.     Abstract (Arabic): هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة تجارب عالمية في دور الأقسام الأكاديمية في دعم الأندية الطلابية لتنمية الروح القيادية لدى الطلاب بالجامعات السعودية الواقع والمأمول، ومعرفة التجارب الناجحة لبعض الدول في دعم الأقسام الأكاديمية لأندية الطلاب. واستعراض دور هذه الأقسام في دعم أندية الطلاب من أجل تنمية روح القيادة لدى الطلبة. وتقديم مقترحات من المؤمل أن تساعد الأقسام الأكاديمية في دعم أندية الطلاب من أجل تنمية روح القيادة لديهم ومعالجة المشكلات والعقبات التي واجهت الأقسام الأكاديمية في الدراسات السابقة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة اُُستخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي معتمدة على الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة واختيرت عينة عشوائية قوامها) 370 (من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة الملك سعود، وجامعة الملك عبد العزيز وجامعة الأمير عبد الرحمن بن فيصل. تكونت الاستبانة من) 23 (عبارة موزعة على محورين بعد التحقق من صلاحيتها بعد عرضها على المحكمين، أظهرت النتائج أن واقع دور الأقسام الأكاديمية لدعم أندية الطلاب من أجل تنمية الروح القيادية لديهم جاء بدرجة منخفضة، أن هناك موافقة بدرجة مرتفعة جداًً بين أفراد عينة الدراسة على المقترحات التي من المؤهل أن تُُساعد في دعم أندية الطلاب من أجل تنمية الروح القيادية لدى الطلاب. خرجت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات والمقترحات.     Abstract (English): This paper aims to reveal the effect of the role - playing strategy based on subtitled animations in acquiring English grammar for third intermediate - grade female students. The study follows the quasi - experimental method design, with experimental and control groups. The sample is 52 students, of which 27 students are in the experimental group. An objective test is used to measure the students' achievements. The results show the positive effect of role - playing strategy based on subtitled animation on students' achievements. The paper recommends that English language curricula should include educational strategies such as role - playing based on animations. The study also recommends enriching English language curricula with non - traditional classroom topics and activities that enable students to develop their skills in learning English as a second language.     Abstract (Arabic): هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن أثر إستراتيجية لعب الأدوار المبنية على الرسوم المتحركة المُُدََ مَعَّة بالنص في تحصيل قواعد اللغة الإنجليزية لدى طالبات الصف الثالث المتو طِسِّ. واستخدم المنهج شبه التجريبي، بتصميم المجموعتين: التجريبية والضابطة. وتكونت العينة القصدية من 52 (طالبة من طالبات الصف الثالث متوسط، بواقع) 27 (طالبة في المجموعة التجريبية و (ًا لقياس تحصيل 􀋷 ًا موضوعيًّ 􀋷 25 (طالبة في المجموعة الضابطة. وأعدت الباحثة اختبارًًا تحصيليًّ (الطالبات. وطبق بعد التأكد من صدقه وثباته قبليا وبعديا. وأشارت النتائج إلى أنه توجد فروق بين متوسطي درجات طالبات المجموعة التجريبية)α ≥ ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى) 0,05)التي درست وفق إستراتيجية لعب الأدوار المبنية على الرسوم المتحركة(، والمجموعة الضابطة)التي درست بالطريقة التقليدية(في التطبيق البعدي للاختبار التحصيلي في قواعد اللغة الإنجليزية لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وأشارت أيضا إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى بين متوسطي درجات طالبات المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي)α ≥ 0,05(للاختبار التحصيلي في قواعد اللغة الإنجليزية لصالح التطبيق البعدي. وأوصى البحث بتضمين مقررات اللغة الإنجليزية إستراتيجيات تعليمية قائمة على لعب الأدوار المبنية على الرسوم المتحركة يمكن للطالبات تنفيذها أثناء ممارسة النشاط الصفي. وكذلك إثراء مناهج اللغة الإنجليزية بموضوعات وأنشطة صفية غير تقليدية تمكن الطالبات من تنمية مهاراتهم وتحصيلهم عند تعلم اللغة الثانية.     Alternate Title: Digital Technology and Social Relations Among Children in the Saudi Society: A Descriptive Study Applied to a Sample of Parents in Jeddah. (English)

    Abstract (English): The study aimed to identify the impact of digital technology on the child's relationship with his/her family, relatives, and friends. In order to achieve these goals, the researcher used the social survey method, in addition to the questionnaire as a tool. The study was applied to a random sample of (508) from the study population, which included parents of children aged between 7 and 12 years in Jeddah. The field study revealed several results, the most important of which are: that the child's use of digital technology contributed to his/her reluctance to participate in accomplishing family tasks and contributed to the increase of quarrels with siblings. It also contributed to providing topics for discussion among family members. On the other hand, the results showed that the child's use of digital technology enhanced communication with children of distant relatives and improved his/her interaction with classmates outside study hours. The study also recommended the following: (1) urging families to work on activating the participation of their children in accomplishing family tasks; (2) raising family awareness about addressing the effects of the child's use of smart devices on his/her engagement in violence and quarrels with his/her siblings; and (3) urging families to support their children's positive use of smart devices to improve their communication with classmates, increase their academic achievement, and do their homework.     Abstract (Arabic): هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف إلى تأثير التكنولوجيا الرقمية على علاقات الطفل بعائلته، والكشف عن تأثير التكنولوجيا الرقمية على علاقات الطفل بأقاربه، وتأثير هذه التكنولوجيا على علاقات الطفل بأصدقائه. ومن أجل تحقيق هذه الأهداف استعانت الباحثة بمنهج المسح الاجتماعي، بالإضافة إلى أداة الاستبانة، وطبقت الدراسة على عينة عشوائية بلغ حجمها) 508 (من مجتمع البحث الذي شمل أولياء أمور الأطفال الذين تتراوح أعمارهم 12 (سنة في مدينة جدة، وقد أسفرت الدراسة الميدانية عن نتائج عديدة، أهمها: أن - من) 7 استخدام الطفل للتكنولوجيا الرقمية أسهم في امتناعه عن المشاركة في إنجاز مهام الأسرة، وفي زيادة الشجار مع إخوته. كما أسهم في توفير موضوعات للنقاش بين أفراد الأسرة. وأوضحت النتائج أن استخدام الطفل للتكنولوجيا الرقمية ساعد في التواصل مع أطفال الأقارب البعيدين مكانياًً، وأدى استخدام الطفل للتكنولوجيا الرقمية في تعزيز التواصل بينه وبين زملاء الدراسة خارج أوقات الدوام. كما توصي الدراسة بما يلي: حث الأسر على العمل على تفعيل مشاركة أطفالها في إنجاز مهام الأسرة. توعية الأسرة بمعالجة تأثيرات استخدام الطفل الأجهزة الذكية في ممارسته للعنف وزيادة شجاره مع إخوته. حث الأسر على دعم الاستخدام الإيجابي لأطفالها للأجهزة الذكية فيما يتعلق بتواصلهم مع زملاء الدراسة لزيادة التحصيل الدراسي أو حل الواجبات المدرسية.     Abstract (English): Objective: This study examines volunteers and non-volunteers at universities to determine their differences in social capital and its dimensions (social relations, participation, confidence, tolerance, and cooperation). Method: The study applied the social survey approach and used a questionnaire with a purposive sample consisting of 272 students of King Saud University. SPSS 23 was used to analyse the collected data, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to measure the internal consistency of scale sentences, and the data were analysed with an independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA. Results: For social capital and its dimensions, there are statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level between volunteers and non-volunteers with positive associations for volunteers. From the findings, this study recommends volunteering as an effective and important method for raising social capital levels and promoting innovative plans and strategies to increase youth participation in university volunteering.     مستخلص: The study aimed to codify the original scale of a highly sensitive person on a sample of the Saudi environment. The researcher translated the original scale developed by Elaine Aron and Arthur Aron in 1997 into Arabic and verified its validity and stability. The study population included a sample of (1091) residents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which consisted of (623) females and (468) males. The researcher used the descriptive approach in this study, and concluded that the highly sensitive person scale could be used to measure sensory processing among individuals in the Saudi environment, by showing the indicators of reliability and stability that can be trusted. As a result, seven factors were extracted for the structure of the scale, including: ease of excitement, low sensory threshold, aesthetic sensitivity, hyperstimulation, risk avoidance, negative emotion, and sensitivity to external stimuli.     Alternate Title: Electronic educational supervision during the Corona Pandemic: Challenges and opportunities. (English)

    Abstract (English): This study aims to identify the reality of applying electronic supervision in public education in Al Madinah Al Monwarh region, during the Corona Pandemic, and to investigate the challenges facing the application of electronic supervision, in addition to exploring the available opportunities for the application of electronic supervision from the educational supervisor's point of view in Al Madinah Al Monwarh region. The survey method is adopted in the study and a questionnaire is applied on a random stratified sample of 85 educational supervisors during the first semester of the year 1441 - 1442 AH. The results of the study revealed a high degree of response for applying electronic supervision in public education schools in Al Madinah Al Monwarh, with an average of 3.19, revealing a high response to the challenges in general. Administrative challenges came first with a mean of 3.03, followed by technical challenges with a mean of 2.93, and human challenges with an average of 2.71. Finally, the study revealed several opportunities including the application of electronic supervision as an approved mechanism in remote villages, the expansion of community partnerships with specialized agencies to deal with technologies, and the inclusion of electronic competencies in professional licensing tests ... and others.     مستخلص: The present study aimed to explore the views of teachers on the need for teaching assistants to work in special education institutes and programs in Saudi Arabia. The questionnaire in this study consisted two sections, the first section included general information about the sample members of the study, while the second section included thirty (30) items representing the level of need for teaching assistants the in special education programs. The sample of the study included (1076) teachers (male and female} who were working in special education programs. The results of the study showed that there is a critical need for teaching assistants in these institutes and programs. This need has been emphasized according to the following nature of the roles and tasks and its importance as follows: supporting academic work, assisting in supervision, monitoring and follow-up, assisting in evaluation and planning programs, or helping in daily routine and supporting in communication. The results of the study revealed that there were statistical differences on the level of need for teaching assistants according to gender variable among the sample for female teachers. However, the results showed statistically significant differences at only three domains of five on the level of the need for teaching assistants due to the difference in the type of disability of the students who are treated by the sample members. Finally, the study presented a set of recommendations in the light of its results, which can help to provide teaching assistants for those programs and institutes to work together with special education teachers and enhance the educational process for students with disabilities.     مستخلص: The present study intends to highlight the practice of vertical and horizontal alignments of strategic management accounting by constructing and standardizing an appropriate scale for the Saudi business environment. After constructing the scale in the light of the relevant literature, the researcher distributed it to a sample of 256 accounting managers working in different Saudi companies, 215 of which were retrieved. The results of the study showed that the developed scale has high degree of validity and reliability, with a moderate level of practice in companies surveyed in light of this scale, and a statistical positive relationship with the companies' financial performance.
