Abstract (English): Objectives: This research aims to reveal and understand mathematics activities in the workplace, for some disciplines of Computer Technology Department at Technical Colleges in Saudi Arabia. Methods: The research follows the qualitative research approach by designing an exploratory case study, to explore mathematics activities in the workplace through interviewing a purposive sample of eight participants from market labour in the field of disciplines of computer technology, and its credibility and dependability were enhanced. Results: The findings of the research revealed six topics which are: describing mathematics in workplace from the participants’ point of view, the most highlighted one is that it is an intuitive mathematics; mathematics topics in workplace, and the most important are arithmetic and geometry; mathematics skills in workplace, and the most important one is logical thinking; learning approaches in workplace, and the most important one is self-learning; working approaches in workplace, including small groups; and finally tools and techniques in workplace, which are used naturally due to the nature of specialization. Conclusions: Mathematics topics and skills in the field of computers depend on specialty and vocation, and the research recommends developing the learning environment in mathematics classrooms, which provides an opportunity for practical applications and practices by those concerned in technical colleges. Abstract (Arabic): الأهداف: هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن أنشطة الرياضيات في مكان العمل، وفهمها لبعض تخصصات قسم تقنية الحاسب الآلي بالكليات التقنية بالمملكة العربية السعودية. المنهجية اتبع البحث منهج البحث النوعي من خلال تصميم دراسة حالة استكشافية، لاستكشاف أنشطة الرياضيات في مكان العمل من خلال مقابلة عينة قصدية مكونة من ثمانية مشاركين من سوق العمل في مجال تخصصات تكنولوجيا الحاسب الآلي، وقد تم تعزيز مصداقيتها واعتماديتها. النتائج كشفت نتائج البحث عن سنة مواضيع، وهي: وصف الرياضيات في مكان العمل من وجهة نظر المشاركين، ومن أبرزها أنها رياضيات بديهية وموضوعات الرياضيات في مكان العمل، ومن أهمها العمليات الحسابية والهندسة؛ ومهارات الرياضيات في بيئة العمل، ومن أهمها التفكير النطقي وأساليب التعلم في مكان العمل، ومن أهمها التعلم الذاتي؛ وأساليب العمل، ومن ضمنها المجموعات الصغيرة وأخيرًا الأدوات والتقنيات في مكان العمل ويتم استخدامها بشكل طبيعي نظرا لطبيعة التخصص. الخلاصة أن موضوعات الرياضيات ومهاراتها في مجال الحاسب الآلي تعتمد على التخصص والمهنة، ويوصي البحث بتطوير بيئة التعلم في قاعات الرياضيات بما يتيح الفرصة للتطبيقات والممارسات العملية من قبل المعنيين في الكليات التقنية. Abstract (English): The study aimed to reach a proposed standard to assess qualitative research in curriculum and instruction methods, as well as detect the approval at standard paragraphs in the basic elements which included in proposed standard by sample .The current study followed a documentary approach and descriptive approach. The study population consisted of faculty members who have taught research courses for a doctorate and master's students in curriculum and instruction department at the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud and the number of the final sample was (51) faculty member, during the academic year 2013/2014. The study reached to identify the basic elements of qualitative research in curriculum and instruction methods, numbered (14) element divided into five chapters, shaping the contours of qualitative research in curriculum and instructions methods, also the study reached to determine the standard paragraphs to assess qualitative research in curriculum and instruction method, numbered (89) paragraph, has been confirmed semantics validity and reliability of the elements and standard paragraphs statistically. The results also showed that the range of the approval of the faculty members on the standard paragraphs for each element of qualitative research was high degree. The study recommends faculties of educational sciences in Saudi Arabia to adopt the proposed standard in arbitration qualitative research in curricula and teaching methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract (Arabic): ھدفت الدراسة إلى التوصل لمعيار مقترح لتحكيم البحوث النوعية في المناھج وطرق التدريس، بالإضافة للكشف عن مدى موافقة عينة الدراسة على الفقرات المعيارية للعناصر الأساسية للمعيار المقترح. واتبعت الدراسة المنھج الوثائقي والمنھج الوصفي المسحي، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من أعضاء ھيئة التدريس الذين قاموا بتدريس مقررات مناھج البحث لطلبة الدكتوراه والماجستير تخصص مناھج وطرق تدريس في جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود وبلغ عدد العينة النھائي ( 51 ) عضو ھيئة تدريس، خلال العام الجامعي ( 2014 م. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى تحديد العناصر الأساسية للبحوث النوعية في المناھج وطرق التدريس، بلغ عددھا ( 14 /2013 عنصراً تتوزع على خمسة فصول، تشكل ملامح البحث النوعي في المناھج وطرق التدريس، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى تحديد الفقرات المعيارية لتحكيم عناصر البحث النوعي في المناھج وطرق التدريس، بلغ عددھا ( 89 ) فقرة، وقد تم التأكد من دلالات صدق وثبات العناصر والفقرات المعيارية إحصائياً، كذلك أظھرت النتائج أن مدى موافقة أعضاء ھيئة التدريس على الفقرات المعيارية لكل عنصر من عناصر البحث النوعي كانت بدرجة مرتفعة. وأوصت الدراسة كليات التربية في المملكة العربية السعودية بتبنّي المعيار المقترح في تحكيم البحوث النوعية في مناھج وطرق التدريس.
