Abstract (English): Symbol is one of the distinctive features of language. It is one of the most favorite devices for any artist in literature and art as well. The use of symbolism has appeared extensively in different forms of literature. Symbol in its simplest from may be an image or atone of certain connotation in the field of tangible humanitarian experience. The symbol expresses feeling arising from a relationship or interaction with certain components of existence, the creator cannot translate it into language of modesty, when the language is freed from tyranny of its post, the creator has to assign the symbol to what he wants. Literary men are different in their use of the symbol by making that means to penetrate and access to a world that cannot reach the senses, and to express what cannot be conveyed easily to the readers. Abstract (Arabic): يعد الرمز مظهراً من مظاهر اللغة، إذ أصبح بعد ميلاده أحب أشكال التعبير الفني الى الكاتب في الأدب والفن، وظهر بصورة واسعة ضمن الأعمال السريالية والخيالية والرمزية والاستعارية والمجازية ز اصل الكلمة في اللغة اليونانية تعني الحرز والتقدير، وللرمز تاريخه الطويل في علم اللاهوت Theology إذ تترادف هذه الكلمة Symbol مع كلمة Greed والتي يقصد بها دستور الايمان المسيحي، والرمز في أبسط صوره هو علامة أو إشارة قد تكون صورة أو نغمة لها دلالة معروفة أو دلالة معينة في مجال التجربة الأنسانية المحسوسة والمتوارثة، يختلف الرمز لدى أرسطو عن غيره فقد قصره على الرموز اللغوية، بينما هو عند أصحاب الإتجاه العام (إشارات مطلقة)، ويعَدُّ (جوتيه) أول من حدد مفهوم الرمز Symbol بطريقة أدبية حديثة، فالرمز يعبّر عن إحساس ناشىء عن علاقة أو تفاعل ببعض مكونات الوجود، لا يمكن للمبدع ترجمته ضمن علاقات اللغة التواضعية، وعند تحرر اللغة من عوالق ماضيها، يصبح على المبدع إنتداب الرمز لما أراد. لغة تنتفي منها الدلالة المباشرة، وتعتمد في الأساس على الموسيقى والإيحاء، ويمكن تحديد خصوصية الرمز في المسرح بقدرته على استعمال ثلاث وظائف ممكنة: وهي إيقونة، إيمائية، والإشارة في حالة الكلام والرمزي بمنزلة السيميولوجي للنمط الخيالي. ويخالف الرمزيون غيرهم في استعمالهم للرمز، وذلك بجعل تلك الوسيلة للاختراق والنفاذ لعالم لا تتوصل اليه الحواس، وللتعبير عما يستحيل التعبير عنه. Abstract (English): I took in my research the definition of the flexibility (language and Anglicism). In addition the orals which near of the flexible and I mentioned kind of it and its advantage add to that I mentioned the flexible in holy Quraan and prophet's Sunna that have have four requirements flexible in holy Quraan, prophet's Sunna and outline meaning for flexible verses and benefit lessons for them and the Al-Khuoshea that happen for some people when they recitation the verses of holy Quraan and hearing peaching of Allah. Abstract (English): The issue of semantic fields is a fertile place for study especially when the research connects with a study in Arabic lexicon . We have chosen to study the words which mean "cowardice" in "Lisan Al-Arab" lexicon because it is an original reference in linguistic research and a main lexicon in dealing with words language. Our research was based on finding semantic connection between the meaning of "cowardice" and words mentioned by Ibn Mandhor (711 A.H.) in his lexicon and their significances on the meaning that he mentioned. Abstract (Arabic): تعد مسألة الحقول الدلالية ميدانا خصبا للدراسة ولا سيما إذا كان موضوع البحث يرتبط بدراسة في المعجم العربي وقد وقع اختيارنا على دراسة الألفاظ الدالة على الجبن في معجم لسان العرب بعدِّه واحدا من المراجع الأصلية في البحث اللغوي ومعجما كبيرا ورئيسا في تناول ألفاظ اللغة. وقد كان البحث مبنيا على أساس إيجاد الارتباط الدلالي بين معنى الجُبن والألفاظ التي ذكرها ابن منظور (ت ٧١١هـ) في معجمه وصرح بدلالتها على المعنى المذكور من خلال الحقول الدلالية التي قسمنا الألفاظ في ضوئها؛ إذ إن كل مجموعة من الألفاظ تدل على الجبن من حيثية غير ما تدل عليه مجموعة أخرى، ولم نأل جهدا أو ندخر وسعا في تقسيم الدلالات الفرعية على معنى الجبن.
