Abstract (English): The present study aimed to identify the reality of the application of knowledge management and its impact on the excellence of institutional performance in Saudi universities: A case study at Najran University in Saudi Arabia. The study utilized the descriptive analytical approach through designing questionnaire used to measure the reality of applying knowledge management in Najran University. Data collected from a sample consisted of (168) faculty members. The study showed that the reality of applying knowledge management in Najran University from faculty perspective was medium, and there is a strong correlation between the requirements of knowledge management and its processes on one hand, and the satisfaction of workers, the learning and the institutional development, and the efficiency of the internal processes on the other hand Some recommendations have been made including the need to make faculty members aware of the importance and concept of knowledge management, supporting the main processes of knowledge management, and overcoming obstacles of applying knowledge management. Abstract (Arabic): هدف ت الدراس ة الحالي ة إل ى بيا ن واقع تطبي ق إدارة المعرف ة وأثرها على تميز الأداء المؤسسي فى الجامعات السعودي ة: دراسة حالة على جامعة نجران السعودي ة ولتحقي ق أهدا ف الدراس ة ت م إتبا ع المنهج التحليلي الوصفي ، كما ت م تصميم إستبانة لقياس واقع تطبيق إدارة المعرفة بجامعة نجران، وتم جمع البيانات من عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بلغت ( 168 ) عضواً وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها: أن واقع تطبيق إ دارة المعرف ة ف ي جامعة نجران من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس جاء بدرجة متوسطة، وأن هناك علاقة ارتباط قوية بين متطلبات إدارة المعرفة وعملياتها من ناحية، ورضا العاملين، والتعليم والنمو المؤسسي، وكفاءة العمليات الداخلية من جهة أخرى، وخرجت الدراسة بعدة توصيا ت منها: أهمية التوعية حيال مفهوم إدارة المعرفة وأهميتها، ودعم العمليات الرئيسة لإدارة المعرفة، وتوفير المتطلبات اللازمة لتطبيقها، والعمل على تذليل معوقات تطبيقها.
