الوصف: In recent years, the process of globalization and the pressure to achieve and maintain competitiveness on the domestic and international stage, has started the need to achieve success and excellence represented by the term Business Excellence. Emphasizing the responsibility of the company’s behavior towards society and the environment is comfirmed by the adoption of the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The aim of the paper is to identify the starting points of the methodology serving for assessing the state of Business Excellence in relation to CSR. The aim is to be achieved on the basis of an analysis of existing approaches to assessing the state of Business Excellence in relation to the concept of CSR. The key finding is that the existing approaches have drawbacks. This generates the space to create a new methodology, the creation of which is necessary to avoid similar weaknesses. Equally important tasks are identifying internal and external factors affecting the condition of Business Excellence, including CSR areas for the needs of the assessment of Business Excellence. After completion of these tasks, the starting points of the methodology serving for assessing the state of Business Excellence in relation to CSR are to be presented in conclusion.

الوصف: Objectives Supervision over entities performing public tasks is one of the most important elements of the proper functioning of the state. The decentralization of state power, consisting in assigning public tasks to certain entities, in particular in the specialized social sphere, such as the system of scientific promotions, including the authorization to establish internal law within this system, is inextricably linked with the need to supervise them. In this system, the legislator has provided for special supervisory powers for the institution that performs the function of the central government administration body in the field of proceedings conducted by it, which is the Council of Scientific Excellence. Due to the complexity of the system of scientific promotions, including the procedures for scientific promotion themselves, the nature of supervision over them is varied. Thus, as part of this work, an attempt was made to analyze the applicable legal provisions related to the supervision by the Council of Scientific Excellence over doctoral entities and habilitation entities, taking into account the scope of the activity in question and the types of decisions taken within its framework. Bearing the above in mind, the hypothesis was decided that the provisions of the do not exhaustively regulate the supervisory powers of the Council of Scientific Excellence, under which the issued decisions, understood as legal forms of public administration, have a different legal nature. Material and methods Research methods: legal-dogmatic and legal-empirical. Materials: literature on the subject, legal acts, regulations of doctoral and postdoctoral entities Results Confirmation of the research hypothesis. Conclusions confirmation of the research hypothesis

الوصف: This article discusses the company performance evaluation process using the EFQM Excellence Model. A literature review focused on this model demonstrates that the implementation of the EFQM Excellence Model has brought companies number of positive effects and has provided guidance for improving the company performance on a self-assessment basis. The START Model questionnaire based on the principles of the EFQM Excellence Model was used to assess the performance of the company S&K PUBLIC and is appropriate as a first step towards excellence. A questionnaire survey was conducted in the selected company and overall performance was calculated based on the results from 9 areas of questionnaire. The article shows how this method of assessment is carried out, including specific examples. It has been identified in which areas the company excels, and on the other hand, in which areas it is necessary to focus on and look for opportunities for improvement. The performance evaluation through this model enabled the company to identify its current situation, to more easily find its strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, and to identify future directions and priorities that would be in line with its strategy. In order to increase the performance and competitiveness of an organization, it is also appropriate to compare the results of the evaluation regularly with competing companies.

الوصف: Quality of university education as a service for clients (students, potential employers, and society) is presently a very important goal for university and their faculties.International agreements (Bologna appeal of Ministries of Education from 1998), international institutions (OECD a list of internationally validated universities and study branches, and the Slovak legislation (Act No 131/2002 on universities, Act No 132/2002 on scientist and techniques) must be implemented in the context of the selfevaluation process of educational institutions and of the European Foundation Quality Model of Excellence (EFQM).The given documents allow making an internal analysis by any university oriented to the process and consumer approach and to the objectives, forms, content and organization of university education.The quality of education is a subsystem of the quality of the educational institution. This quality determines the competitive status of this institution on the market of postsecondary and part-time education.The quality of university education is however connected not only with the material and information sources, but also especially with the human factor. Ethos, pathos and logos, i.e. the soft factors of universities as providers of education are necessary part of every Alma Mater.

الوصف: The aim of the master thesis is to emphasize the importance of process alignment in The Fourth Industrial Revolution. By mapping of current descriptive maturity models and their application within digitalization, the thesis offers a new process maturity model for the phenomenon referred to as Industry 4.0 (i4.0). The model is based on the theoretical form of previous models, as well as on implementation of newly introduced trends. The contribution of the thesis rests upon the specific solution. The suggested Process Improvement Scheme presents applicable way for improvement of digital process preparedness in project-oriented service organizations and determines main value factors which lead to higher quality of employee processes. In the same time, the master thesis suggest a new utilization of i4.0 principles focused predominantly on manufacturing processes, and therefore includes areas which will need to be addressed in the near future for smooth process transition into i4.0 era.

الوصف: Focus of this thesis is to introduce methods used within the concept of Operational Excellence, being one of possible approaches to manage business processes, and subsequent application of these methods to accounting operations of a concrete company. Using application of these methods, thesis aims to evaluate quality of the process outputs as well as the utilization rate of available labor resources within analyzed business unit. Concrete suggestions to improve quality of process outputs and to optimize utilization of labor resources are proposed as the outcome of this thesis.
