Abstract (English): This study focuses on the historical background of agriculture in the United Arab Emirates from 1971-2000, as well as the UAE's pioneering achievement in the field of agricultural history thanks to Allah and thanks to its wise leadership and great people. Before the discovery of oil, the country relied on fishing, pearl industry and agriculture, and the trade of dates. After the discovery of oil, a radical change took place, favored by its geographical location, The study will explore the significant change that accompanied this period of agricultural growth and prosperity, by identifying the most important characteristics and agricultural capabilities, in addition to shedding light on the contribution of agriculture to Emirati production, It will use, as a primary source, the history of agricultural production in the United Arab Emirates and the specialized references on the history of agricultural production. Abstract (Arabic): يتركز الموضوع على دراسة الخلفية التاريخية للزراعة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة 1971-2000، وما حققته دولة الإمارات بفضل الله وبفضل قيادتها الحكيمة وشعبها العظيم إنجازات رائدة في مجال التاريخ الزراعي؛ إذ إنَّ الدولة في الأساس قبل اكتشاف النفط كانت تعتمد على صيد السمك وصناعة اللؤلؤ والزراعة وتجارة التمور، ولكن بعد اكتشاف النفط حدث تغيير جذري ساعدها في ذلك موقعها الجغرافي، حيث ستعني الدراسة بتناول الإنتاج الزراعي وما يحتويه من أنواع الزراعات التي أسهمت في تطور اقتصاد الدولة، وعرض مدى التغير الذي صاحب هذه الفترة من نمو زراعي وازدهار، والتعرف على أهم الخصائص والإمكانيات الزراعية، وتسليط الضوء على مساهمة الزراعة في الإنتاج الإماراتي، سوف تستسقي هذه الدراسة مادتها في المقام الأول من المصادر الأساسية لتاريخ الإنتاج الزراعي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، أيضا سوف تتم الاستعانة بالمراجع المتخصصة في تاريخ الإنتاج الزراعي التي يختص بها موضوع البحث.
