    مستخلص: The article aimed to identify self-management and its relationship to job satisfaction among public school principals in Irbid District, The descriptive approach was used by the analytical method for its suitability and the nature of the study, To achieve the objectives of the study, the scale of (Al-Anazi and Al-Ajami, 2021) for self-management was used, and the scale (Smith, Kendall, and Hullin, 1969) for job satisfaction was used, The study sample consisted of (45) managers, The results showed that the degree of self-management among public school principals in Irbid was high, without any differences due to the variables of educational qualification and years of experience, And that their level of job satisfaction is high without any differences due to the variables of educational qualification and years of experience, The results also showed that there is a positive correlation between self-management and job satisfaction among public school principals in Irbid District, The researchers recommended the need to take advantage of the educational administrative expertise possessed by the principals of public schools in the Irbid district when holding various educational courses.     Abstract (English): This study aims to practically identify the reality of empowering Saudi women in leadership positions in higher education institutions, reveal the challenges that prevent their empowerment, and suggest some methods to overcome these challenges. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher used the descriptive survey method based on a questionnaire as a tool for the analysis. The researcher used a classified random sample of 376 faculty members in the following Saudi government universities: King Saud in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz in Jeddah, and Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal in the Eastern. The study reached several conclusions. The analysis indicates that there is empowerment of Saudi women in leadership positions in higher education institutions and that there is agreement among the study sample members on the challenges that prevent the empowerment of Saudi women in leadership positions in higher education institutions. Cultural challenges come first, followed by personal challenges, and finally, organizational challenges. There is strong agreement on ways to overcome challenges that prevent Saudi women from being empowered in leadership positions in higher education institutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

    Abstract (Arabic): هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تع ر ف واقع تمكين المرأة السعودية في المناصب القيادية بمؤسسات التعليم الجامعي، والكشف عن التحديات التي تحول دون تمكينها، ومن م َ ث اقتراح بعض سُبل التغلب على هذه التحديات. ولتحقيق أهدا ف الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتم اعتماد الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، واستخدمت الباحثة عينة عشوائية طبقية قوامها ) 376 ( عض وا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الحكومية السعودية التالية: )الملك سعود بالرياض، والمل ك عبد العزيز بجدة، والإمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل بالشرقية(. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج؛ منها: يشير الواقع إلى أن هناك تمكي ن ا للمرأة السعودية في المناصب القيادية بمؤسسات التعليم الجامعي؛ حيث جاء ذل ك بدرجة "موافق"، وأن هناك موافقة بين أفراد عينة الدراسة على التحديات التي تحول د ون تمكين المرأة السعودية في المناصب القيادية بمؤسسات التعليم الجامعي؛ حيث تأتي التحديات الثقافية بالمرتبة الأولى، تليها التحديات الشخصية، وفي الأخير تأتي التحديات التنظيمية، كما أشارت النتائج إلى أن هناك "موافقة بشدة " على سُبل التغلب على التحديات التي تح ول دون تمكين المرأة السعودية في المناصب القيادية بمؤسسات التعليم الجامعي.
