مستخلص: The article focuses on the development of Spanish-English bilingualism in the U.S. It discusses two studies, which examine how grammatical subjects in early Spanish-English language is developed and how ser and estar are acquired. Interlinguistic influences as well as delayed acquisition are also considered. The studies involve two Spanish-English children, who are examined through diary notes and audio-recordings. It is found that children have realized that English requires grammatical subjects.
