Abstract (English): The insurance agent is the person authorized to work by the Insurance Bureau to practice the insurance activity on behalf of one of the insurance companies. In addition to that, he must be subject to a specific certificate. The insurance agent undertakes marketing the insurance business for the insurance company for which he works, as well as concluding contracts. The insurance agent must work according to the powers specified in the agency contract between him and the insurance company. The insurance agent is one of the mainstays in the national economy due to the increase in the insurance company's revenues. Given the importance of the insurance agent's activity, it is therefore subject to supervision and direction by the Insurance Bureau and the insurance company, with the aim of preventing him from committing violations or any fraud . Abstract (Arabic): وكيل التامين هو الشخص المرخص له بالعمل من قبل ديوان التامين لمزاولة نشاط التامين عن احدى شركات التامين ويشمل الشخص الطبيعي والمعنوي، والذي يجب ان تتوفر به شروط معينة حتى يحق له مزاولة نشاط التامين ويجب ان يتسم بالخبرة والمهارة والكافة المهنية بأعمال التامين كما يجب ان يكون حاصل على شهادة معينة بالإضافة الى ذلك ان يكون خاضع لدورت تدريبية . ويتولى وكيل التامين تسويق اعمال التامين لصالح شركة التامين التي يعمل لحسابها وكذلك ابرام العقود ويجب على وكيل التامين ان يعمل وفق الصلاحيات المحددة بعقد الوكالة بينه وبين شركة التامين، ويعد وكيل التامين احد الدعامات الاساسية في الاقتصاد الوطني وذلك بسبب زيادة ايرادات شركة التامين. ونظراً لأهمية نشاط وكيل التامين لذلك انه يخضع للرقابة والتوجيه من قبل ديوان التامين وشركة التامين وذلك بقصد منع ارتكابه للمخالفات او اي عملية احتيال.
