Relation: School farms in agroecology are increasing. This paper assesses their pedagogical interest by analyze 4 Senegalese school farms. Pedagogical quality is measured by three aspects: (1) feedback from their former learners, (2) acquisition of fundamental knowledge, and (3) professionalization. Former learners have globally a positive opinion about training. Their learning is facilitated if courses are given by trainers with more advanced agroecological expertise. The paper shows also that former learners are more likely to build a business if they receive a starter kit. Under conditions detailed in the study, school farm can help contribute to agroecology transition.
