| Abstract (English): | Emerged in the literary climate of the end of the XIXth century, then used in theater, plastic arts and music, the verism did not expressed itself as a break with the romanticism, but rather as an enhancement of the emotions. Among the most representative verist composers were Pietro Mascagni - originator of the musical verism (the Cavalleria Rusticana opera); Giacomo Puccini who, unlike other verist composers, is not revealing the rough, violent facts, but brings into music the poetry of life, of the reality; Ruggiero Leoncavallo, whose creation relies on a strong dramaturgy and on an intense, heartfelt music; Umberto Giordano - known for a more violent verist style (the Andrea Chénier opera, for instance). The musical verism also manifested itself in France (Alfred Bruneau, Gustave Charpentier), Germany (Eugen d'Albert), the Czech Republic (Leos Janàcek). Among the Romanian verist composers were: Marțian Negrea, Sabin Drăgoi, and Alexandru Zirra. The National Library of Romania holds in its special collections some exceptional audio-video recordings, music sheets, and photos. The musical scores appeared at reputable European publishers, have handwritten dedications and annotations made by musical personalities of the time. In the National Library's Special Collections there is also a picture taken in the studio, representing Pietro Mascagni, Giacomo Puccini and Ruggero Leoncavallo as well as a manuscript with the Apri la tua fmestra serenade from the Iris opera, by Pietro Mascagni. | Abstract (French): | Paru dans le climat littéraire de la fin du XIXe siècle et se propageant après dans le domaine du théâtre, des arts plastiques et de la musique, le vérisme n'a pas eu le caractère d'un défi au romantisme, mais d'une intensification des émotions. Parmi les compositeurs véristes représentatifs se trouvent: Pietro Mascagni - le fondateur du vérisme musical (Cavalleria Rusticana); Giacomo Puccini qui, par opposition à d'autres compositeurs véristes, n'envisage pas les faits bruts, violents, mais la poésie de la vie, de la réalité; Ruggiero Leoncavallo, dont la création s'appuie sur une dramaturgie solide et sur une musique intense, sincère; Umberto Giordano - d'un style vériste plus violent (voir l'opéra Andrea Chénier). Le vérisme musical se manifeste aussi en France (Alfred Bruneau, Gustave Charpentier), en Allemagne (Eugen d'Albert), en Tchécoslovaquie (Leos Janàcek). Parmi les compositeurs véristes roumains on peut nommer Marțian Negrea, Sabin Drăgoi et Alexandru Zirra. La Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie détient, dans ses Collections Spéciales, des enregistrements audio - vidéo d'exception, des partitions, des photos. Les partitions ont paru à des maisons d'édition prestigieuses, ayant des dédicaces manuscrites des personnalités musicales de l'époque, des annotations. Dans les Collections Spéciales de la Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie se trouve aussi une photo de Pietro Mascagni, Giacomo Puccini et Ruggero Leoncavallo, réalisée en studio, et le manuscrit de la sérénade Apri la tua finestra, partie de l'opéra Iris de Pietro Mascagni.
