مستخلص: This paper introduces an e‐Privacy display, electrically switchable between wide viewing angle (share) mode and narrow viewing angle (privacy) mode, operated by louver film and polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC), named as viewing angle control film (VCF). Especially, focusing on e‐Privacy suitable for laptop PC, reducing power consumption and maximizing privacy feature can be achieved through PDLC haze customization by input voltage control and three layers (louver, PDLC, and panel) lamination to eliminate air gap. As a result, the VCF technology is optimized for e‐Privacy laptop PC which can be used in various environmental conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
