مستخلص: A structure with open frame may experience large displacement in resisting earthquake forces. One way to increase the stiffness of the structure is to use bracing system, either concentrically braced frames (CBF) or eccentrically braced frames (EBF). EBF structure is generally implemented because of its architectural benefits, while still takes into consideration the system's ability to withstand the earthquake forces that occur. This study uses EBF with brace type V (EBF-V) due to its good configuration. This is because the greatest moment that produces plastic hinges is not near the column, but is at the end of the link beam between the two join bracings. The test object used is a reinforced concrete portal with a height of 80 cm and a span of 100 cm. The types of bracing used in this study are portal types CBF-V and EBF-V. The EBF portal has 2 kinds of link beam length variations, 15 cm and 25 cm. The loading system is a simplification of dynamic testing (earthquake load) using the concept of quasi – static – cyclic loading in which lateral loading is carried out using a hydraulic jack actuator. The results showed that the CBF-V model had the highest maximum load. On the other hand, the highest ductility value in this study was on the EBF-V-25 portal, while the highest stiffness value was on the CBF-V portal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
