Kelkar and Nathan are unapologetically firm in stating that the focus of their work are the victims of witch hunts: the women who are persecuted as witches. In the chapter on cultural and epistemological aspects of beliefs, Kelkar and Nathan provide a critical analysis of the post-colonial arguments on the belief in witchcraft (Chapter 2).
