The article presents information related to impostor syndrome (IS), which is prevalent in the medical profession, particularly due to the demanding practice environment and professional norms. The impostor phenomenon (IP) is also common, causing individuals to doubt their abilities and attribute their successes to external factors. IS is a problem early in physician training and is associated with burnout. Strategies are suggested to mitigate the impact of IS on physicians' professional lives. |
