| Abstract (English): |
The aim of this study is to apply the argumentative approach of the modern critical deliberative school to a text that is considered one of the most important ancient heritage texts, of which Al-Jahiz was a key founder. The text under study is the response of Ibn al-Tawam to the letter of Abi al-Aas bin Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi. The goal is to criticallyanalyzetheargumentative methods used bytheauthor to persuadethereader of his opinion and refute opposing views in traditional discourse. The study is divided into an introduction and theoretical preface which defines and adjusts the term "argument "،followed by the applied section that uses the tools and techniques of the argumentative approach to analyze the text .The research concludes that the argumentative style of this text ،according to the division of Taha Abd al-Rahman ،is considered directiveargumentation ،asit focused on convincingtheaddresseeto accept theauthor's opinion without consideringtheimpact on the opposing party. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تطبيق أحد مناهج املدرسة التداولية النقدية الحديثة وهو املنهج الحجاجي، على نص يعد من أهم النصوص التراثية القديمة التي كان الجاحظ أحد أهم مؤسسيها وهو رد ابن التوأم على رسالة أبي العاص بن عبد الوهاب الثقفي، في محاولة لقراءة نقدية تكشف عن ألاساليب الحجاجية التي يوظفها املؤلف إلقناع القارئ برأيه، ودحض ما يخالفه في الخطاب التراثي، وقد قسمت الدراسة إلى مقدمة وتمهيد نظري يحاول ضبط مصطلح الحجاج، ثم القسم التطبيقي الذي يحاول تطبيق أدوات املنهج الحجاجي وتقنياته على النص قيد الدراسة، وتوصل البحث إلى أن أسلوب الحجاج في هذا النص -حسب تقسيم طه عبدالرحمن-من الحجاج التوجيهي؛ ِطب الذي سعى بكل طريقة حجاجية ممكنة إلى إثبات رأيه، ولم يراع تأثير ذلك على ألنه اهتم باملخا الطرف املقابل.
