| Abstract (English): |
The current research aims to measure the level of mental capacity and future thinking and the relationship between them among middle school students at the representation of the Ministry of Education in Erbil. The main research sample consists of (400) male and female students who were displaced to Erbil Governorate. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the first tool for measuring mental capacity is adopted (Al-Buena, 1990), which in its final form consisted of (26) items. As for the second tool, it was prepared to measure future thinking, which in its final form consisted of (43) items. The researcher verified the apparent and structural validity of the two tools, and the reliability was verified by re-testing, and their stability coefficient was (0.82) and (0.80). The data are statistically processed using the t-test, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient. The results of the research show that the level of mental capacity and future thinking among the sample members of the students in general is good. There is a significant relationship between them, and in the light of the research results, a number of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions were drawn. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

ويهدف البحث الحالي إلى قياس مستوى القدرات العقلية والتفكير المستقبلي والعلاقة بينهما لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة الطلبة في ممثلية وزارة التربية في اربيل. ال وتكونت عينة البحث الرئيسية من (400) طالباً وطالبة نزحوا إلى محافظة أربيل. ومن أجل تحقيق أهداف الهيئة البحث تم اعتماد أول أداة لقياس القدرات العقلية (البوينة، 1990) والتي تكونت بصورتها النهائية من (26) مادة. أما بالنسبة للأداة الثانية وتم إعداده لقياس التفكير المستقبلي الذي يتكون في شكله النهائي من (43) مادة. وقد تحققت الباحثة من الصدق الظاهري والتركيبي الأداتين، وتم التحقق من ثباتهما من خلال إعادة الاختبار، وثباتهما وكان المعامل (0.82) و (0.80). تتم معالجة البيانات إحصائيا باستخدام اختبار (ت)، معامل الارتباط البسيط لبيرسون. نتائج وتشير الأبحاث إلى أن مستوى القدرات العقلية والتفكير المستقبلي لدى أفراد العينة من الطلاب بشكل عام جيد . هناك أهمية كبيرة العلاقة بينهما، وفي ضوء نتائج البحث عددا وتم التوصل إلى الاستنتاجات والتوصيات والمقترحات.
