| Abstract (English): |
This study aims to identify the extent of awareness among information specialists in the Beni Suef University libraries about big data, and to determine the availability of the infrastructure in those libraries, in order to plan the implementation of the big data system and help the libraries at the University of Beni Suef to develop their services in light of the needs of their users. The study population includes the employees of the faculties of Beni Suef University libraries inside the university campus, which are the libraries of the faculties (Arts - Law - Commerce - Science - mass communication). The study used the descriptive analytical method, and relied on the questionnaire as the main tool for data collection. The study came out with a set of results, the most important of which was the presence of a discrepancy in the awareness of the concept of big data among the workers in the libraries under study, and that most of the libraries under study have an integrated infrastructure for technology Information To provide advanced information services and make available the OPAC library index on the Internet, and it was found that the libraries under study do not provide training courses and workshops for their employees with a high rate of (89.9%). This indicates the weak provision of libraries for training courses to librarians for awareness of big data and related analysis, use and application. The researcher offers a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: holding training courses for information specialists on the skills of organizing and analyzing big data, and the applications used in that, establishing a special section for the library to be responsible for managing, organizing and analyzing big data, and supporting and encouraging the information specialist to use big data by officials. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى الوعي لدى أخصائيي المعلومات بمكتبات جامعة بني سويف بالبيانات الضخمة، والوقوف على مدى توافر البنية التحتية بتلك المكتبات، من أجل التخطيط لتنفيذ منظومة البيانات الضخمة، و مساعدة المكتبات بجامعة بني سويف على تطوير خدماتها في ضوء احتياجات المستفيدين منها، وقد تمثل مجتمع الدراسة في العاملين بمكتبات كليات جامعة بني سويف داخل الحرم الجامعي وهي مكتبات كليات: )اآلداب – الحقوق – التجارة – العلوم – اإلعالم(، و استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، و اعتمدت على االستبيان كأداة رئيسية لجمع البيانات، وخرجت الدراسة بمجموعة من النتائج أهمها: وجود تباين في نسب الوعي بمفهوم البيانات الضخمة لدى العاملين بالمكتبات محل الدراسة، كما يتوفر لدى غالبية المكتبات - محل الدراسة - بنية تحتية متكاملة لتقنيات المعلومات لتقديم خدمات معلومات متطورة، وإتاحة فهرس المكتبة OPAC على شبكة اإلنترنت، وأكدت الدراسة على ضعف تقديم المكتبات للدورات التدريبية ألخصائي المعلومات للوعي بالبيانات الضخمة وما يتصل بها من تحليل واستخدام وتطبيق، وقد تبين أنها ال تقدم دورات تدريبية وورش عمل للعاملين بها بنسبة مرتفعة بلغت )%89.9(. وهذه مجموعة من التوصيات أهمها: عقد دورات تدريبية ألخصائي المعلومات على مهارات تنظيم البيانات الضخمة وتحليالتها، والتطبيقات المستخدمة في ذلك، وإنشاء قسم خاص بالمكتبة بحيث يكون مسؤ وال عن إدارة وتنظيم وتحليل البيانات الضخمة، ودعم وتشجيع أخصائي المعلومات على استخدام البيانات الضخمة من قبل المسؤ ولين .
