| Abstract (English): |
The National Reading Law is the Charter that places the cultural institutions in the UAE in the position of social responsibility to activate reading and make it a way of life in the UAE society to ensure the sustainability of knowledge and research in the United Arab Emirates The paper aims at shedding light on the literacy initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development since the enactment of the National Reading Law in 2016. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach to describe and analyze the literacy initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development and the effectiveness of these initiatives and programs and measuring the impact on the society it serves Ministry Libraries The researcher also stands on the most important findings of the study and analysis to determine the impact and feasibility of implementing such initiatives and results The study concluded with some recommendations recommended by the researcher to ensure continuity of work on such initiatives. قانون الق ارءة الوطني هو الميثاق الذي يضع المؤسسات الثقافية في دولة اإلما ارت في موضع المسؤولية المجتمعية لتفعيل القراءة، وجعلها أسلوب حياة في المجتمع اإلماراتي لضمان االستدامة المعرفية والبحثية في دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة. تهدف ورقة العمل إلى إلقاء الضوء على المبادارات القرائية التي نفذتها وزارة الثقافة، وتنمية المعرفة منذ إصدار قانون الق ارءة الوطني عام 2016 خدم المنهج التحليلي الوصفي لوصف وتحليل المباد ارت الق ار ُ ، است ئية التي قامت بها وزارة الثقافة وتنمية المعرفة، ومدى فاعلية هذه المبادرات والبرامج وقياس األثر على المجتمع الذي تخدمه مكتبات الوزارة كما يقف البحث على أهم النتائج التي توصلت لها الد ارسة وتحليلها لمعرفة األثر والجدوى من تنفيذ مثل هذه المبادارات والنتائج. واختتمت الدراسة ببعض التو صيات التي أوصت بها الدراسة، لضمان استمرارية العمل على مثل هذه المبادرات.
