مستخلص: This article compares the outcomes of two techniques, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), for the treatment of Barrett's neoplasia at a Canadian tertiary referral center. The study included 331 patients, with 72 undergoing ESD and 259 undergoing EMR. The ESD group had larger lesions and higher rates of adverse events, but also had lower rates of persistent dysplasia at the first follow-up and lower rates of local recurrence after achieving complete remission of dysplasia. The findings suggest that ESD may provide a more favorable prognosis for the treatment of Barrett's esophagus compared to EMR. [Extracted from the article]
