مستخلص: This article discusses the cost-effectiveness of a novel method called Full-Thickness Resection Device (FTRD) for managing small gastric subepithelial tumors (SET) compared to standard endoscopic surveillance. The study used a cost-utility analysis and gathered data from the Asian population. The results showed that FTRD was cost-effective for patients aged 55 and below, while EUS-guided biopsy at the time of diagnosis was a cost-effective approach for individuals between the ages of 60 and 65. From a US perspective, FTRD was cost-effective in all scenarios. The authors conclude that FTRD is a cost-effective strategy for managing small gastric SET, particularly for patients younger than 55 years old. [Extracted from the article]
