مستخلص: This article presents a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent oesophageal stent insertion for various causes at a district general hospital in the UK. The study collected data from a 32-month period and analyzed patient demographics, procedure indications, complications, mortality rates, readmission rates, and survival post-procedure. The results showed that while oesophageal stenting is effective and safe for patients with advanced oesophageal cancer, stent migration occurred in 25% of patients. The authors suggest that routine use of dedicated over the scope clips for stent fixation could reduce the need for re-intervention in this population. [Extracted from the article]
