مستخلص: Wellington's Seaview Wharf facilitates transfer of fuel products and serves the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand. The Seaview facility was constructed in the 1970s and at 50-years old is undergoing a major renewal. The renewal project includes major structural performance upgrades, operational safety improvements, condition-related repairs, mooring and fendering enhancements, cathodic protection replacement and more. CentrePort, as infrastructure owner, has collaborated with the fuel industry stakeholders who themselves are renewing transfer pipelines. Holmes and Brian Perry Civil have been engaged to work in a high-trust environment to design and construct the renewals. These will enable the wharf to more reliably serve the community's needs to 2050 and beyond. This paper discusses specific elements of novel design in a marine environment, and implementation of condition-related interventions. It covers the collaborative process of design development between the Holmes designers, CentrePort and the construction team at Brian Perry Civil. It also covers construction interfaces with operations - how safety and ongoing fuel delivery is ensured - and the treatment and mitigation of specific aspects of ecological sensitivity.
