مستخلص: With the development of laser deposition technology, the Invar alloy matrix materials is a kind of potential laser deposited coating because of low expansion coefficient, which is favor to decrease the residual stress in the coating and get the crack-free coating. But the poor tribology properties of the pure Invar alloy limit the application of invar alloy matrix coating. In this work, the enhanced tribology properties induced by eutectic microstructure strengthening and in-situ reinforce in composite coating is obtained by adjusting the Ti/B ratio in the composites. Furthermore, the dependence of the eutectic microstructure and in-situ reinforcement on the tribology properties is discussed. As the Ti/B ratio increased, the content of the primary γ-Fe phase gradually rises, the content of γ-Fe/Ni2B eutectic microstructure decreases in matrix, and the volume fraction of in-situ TiB2 particles progressively increase. With an increased Ti/B ratio, the hardness of the coating has a peak value, but the friction coefficient and wear volume have a minimum value at same time. When eutectic microstructure strengthening and in-situ reinforcing coexist in composite coating, the good tribology properties can be obtained. This work provides a new approach for obtaining new materials with good tribology properties by the use of eutectic strengthening and in-situ reinforcing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
