Morro da Piedade is located in Vitória (ES), Brazil, and has been experiencing a process of resident evasion since 2018, due to the dispute over territory between groups linked to drug trafficking. In this context, movements and collectives emerged that articulate and question the relationship between the State and the territory. This article aims to analyze the attempts to redefine space, which took place between 2018 and 2021. The theoretical-methodological framework adopted is that of Marxist critical theory. O Morro da Piedade está localizado em Vitória (ES), no Brasil, passa por um processo de esvaziamento, intensificado após 2018, em virtude da disputa do território por facções ligadas ao tráfico de drogas. Assim, emergem neste cenário, movimentos e coletivos que se articulam e questionam a relação do Estado com a comunidade. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as tentativas de ressignificação do espaço, ocorridas entre 2018 e 2021. O referencial teórico-metodológico adotado é o da teoria crítica marxista.
