مستخلص: Polymer injection is an enhanced oil recovery by adding polymer substances into the water to improve oil recovery. The success of polymer injection is influenced by many factors, such as IPV, polymer compatibility with its reservoir, polymer retention, polymer adsorption, pore volume injected, etc. Before polymer injection is applied in the field, this needs to be known and optimized. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct an optimization study on several parameters that will affect the success of polymer injection in Layer C of the "CT" Field. This paper presents the result of polymer injection with polymer on Berea core and Native core using reservoir simulation and ends with an economic analysis. There will be 26 scenarios for Berea core, ten scenarios for different pore volumes injected within 0.1 until 1 pore volume injected, and 16 scenarios of polymer concentration which are 500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, and 2000 ppm. The Native core will have five scenarios collected from optimized Berea core scenarios. From all of the scenarios, the best scenario is by injecting 0,4 pore volume with 2000 ppm polymer concentration on Layer C of the "CT" Field, which can increase its recovery factor from 53.37% to 54.30% with a production cost of 36.84 USD/barrel.
