مستخلص: This research explores the value commitments of 295 faculty members at five small Catholic colleges according to the amount of their higher education received from Catholic institutions, previous teaching experiences in or outside the Catholic system, and religious or lay status. Faculty members with the longest and closest association with the Catholic higher education system were found to be most devoted to the values specifically associated with the Catholic Church. However, a high proportion of all faculty members expressed a commitment to the more general values of influencing students' character development and advancing the aims and goals of their colleges.
