The article presents four case studies which demonstrate the importance of communication to search an effective solution for low vision disease. The cases involve a 65-year-old white male with type 2 diabetes, a 55-year-old white male with retinopathy of prematurity, a 92-year-old white female with a presumptive diagnosis of bilateral macular degeneration and a 62-year-old white male with multiple sclerosis. Discussion of each disease history is offered. |
