مستخلص: The article presents a study on the chemical concentrations, inter-species relationships, and meteorological mechanisms of fresh snow samples collected from Glacier Marinelli in Tierra del Fuego, Chile. It states that stable isotopes, major soluble ions as well as major and trace elements are analyzed in the snow samples while the temperature and barometric pressure are recorded. It mentions the dominance of marine species in snow chemistry and the very low contributions of crustal species. It reveals the use of empirical orthogonal function analysis in suggesting the two possible sources of dust and of enrichment-factor calculations in recommending the possible anthropogenic sources of majority of the elements.
