مستخلص: |
The article discusses the methods employed by cooperative agricultural marketing associations in the U.S. for obtaining capital. Cooperative marketing associations can be divided into two groups. The federated type is a group of independent local associations joined together for the joint merchandising of the output of the various geographic locations. The centralized type is a single association that owns all the plants in a region, with the members delivering their crops to these plants in accordance with their contracts. The federated associations secure capital in three ways: stocks, demand notes from the members, and authorized deductions from sales returns. Centralized associations usually secures its capital through a subsidiary joint stock company. |
