مستخلص: Emergency physicians using ultrasonography to care for geriatric patients should focus on the four 'killers': (1) Is there pericardial fluid with impending tamponade? (2) Is there intra-abdominal bleeding or fluid? (3) Does the patient have an abdominal aortic aneurysm? and (4) Is there evidence of gallbladder disease? Answering 'yes' or 'no' to these four questions speeds the clinical management of four geriatric timedependent 'killers.' By rapidly diagnosing a 'killer,' a life potentially can be saved.
