The transfer of knowledge and technology has attracted academic attention in the last decade with considerable and rapid growth, which has resulted in a large body of knowledge on the subject; This makes it essential to recognize its conceptualization and carry out bibliometric analyzes of the literature to identify changes in the subjects studied. This article aimed to analyze the scientific production on the process of transfer of knowledge and technology in universities, through a bibliometric analysis, a search for information was carried out with terms related to the transfer of knowledge and technology in universities in the database international Scopus. The results showed the growth dynamics of scientific production since 1990. Also, the United States stood out as the most productive country and the one that collaborates the most to publish research with other nations of the world, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Germany. The Journal of Technology Transfer was found at the top of the most productive, and the topics were identified as trends: entrepreneurship, open innovation, relationship between industry and university and technology transfer office, showing that transfer is still a current topic in academic research. La transferencia de conocimiento y tecnología ha llamado la atención académica en la última década con un crecimiento considerable y de forma rápida, lo que ha resultado en un gran cuerpo de conocimiento sobre la temática; ello, hace indispensable reconocer su conceptualización y realizar análisis bibliométricos a la literatura para identificar cambios en los temas estudiados. Este artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar la producción científica sobre el proceso de transferencia de conocimiento y tecnología en las universidades; mediante un análisis bibliométrico, se realizó la búsqueda de información con términos relacionados a la transferencia de conocimiento y tecnología en universidades en la base de datos internacional Scopus. Los resultados evidenciaron la dinámica de crecimiento de la producción científica desde el año 1990. También, Estados Unidos se destacó como el país más productivo y el que más colabora para publicar investigaciones con otras naciones del mundo, como Reino Unido, China y Alemania. La revista Journal of Technology Transfer se encontró en el top de las más productivas, y se identifican como tendencias los tópicos: emprendimiento, innovación abierta, relacionamiento entre industria y universidad y oficina de transferencia de tecnología, mostrando que la transferencia sigue siendo un tema vigente en la investigación académica.
