Abstract (English): Improving working conditions in the European Union by promoting more transparent and predictable forms of employment and ensuring the adaptability of the labor market is the main subject of the analyzes carried out in this paper. In the first part, in the light of new opportunities and challenges, the EU's response to changes in labor markets due to demographic trends and digitalization is analyzed, which led to the creation of new forms of employment that support innovation, job creation and labor market growth. The analysis is concentrated on aspects of open issues regarding working conditions and new forms of employment through the categories of atypical work and job insecurity with a special emphasis on challenges related to working conditions in the light of EU action. The second part includes analyzes of the basic standards related to the adopted framework of connections for transparent and predictable working conditions. The focus was transferred to the analysis of Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and the Council of June 20, 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions. The analysis included: the obligation to provide information and minimum requirements related to working conditions related to: maximum duration of the probationary period, additional employment, minimum predictability of work, measures for work contracts on demand, transition to a different form of employment and mandatory training. Abstract (Croatian): Poboljšanje radnih uvjeta u Evropskoj uniji promicanjem transparentnijih i predvidljivijih oblika zaposlenja te osiguravanje prilagodljivosti tržišta rada je glavni predmet analiza izvedenih u ovom radu. U prvom dijelu, u svjetlu novih prilika i izazova se analizira odgovor EU nakon promjena na tržištima rada zbog demografskih kretanja i digitalizacije, što je dovelo do stvaranja novih oblika zaposlenja kojima se podupiru inovacije, stvaranje radnih mjesta i rast tržišta rada. Analiza je koncentrirana na aspekte otvorenih pitanja u pogledu radnih uvjeta i novih oblika zapošljavanja kroz kategorije atipičnog rada i nesigurnosti radnih mjesta s posebnim akcentom na izazove vezane za uvjete rada u svjetlu djelovanja EU. Drugi dio rada obuhvata analize osnovnih standarda vezanih za pravce razvoja zakonodavstva država članica s ciljem transparentnosti i predvidivosti radnih uvjeta. Težište je preneseno na analizu Direktive (EU) 2019/1152 Evropskog parlamenta i Vijeća od 20. juna 2019. godine o transparentnim i predvidivim radnim uvjetima. Analiza je obuhvatila obavezu pružanja informacija i minimalne zahtjeve koji se odnose na radne uvjete vezane za maksimalno trajanje razdoblja probnog rada, dodatno zaposlenje, minimalnu predvidivost rada, mjere za ugovore o radu na zahtjev, prijelaz na drugačiji oblik zaposlenja i obvezno osposobljavanje.
