The article offers information on different types of Catholic universities and colleges in the U.S. One is the Immersion institutions which immerse student in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition (CIT) and seek to offer undergraduates with an education that prepares them to be involved in the Catholic Church and to become well-informed and significant leaders in the society. Another is the Persuasion institutions which require students to take few courses in theology and philosophy. Moreover, Diaspora institutions promote the interests of the Catholic Church in universities and institutions that have lesser minority Catholics. |
