مستخلص: The article discusses a study on the Mallaha Wetland situated in Tripoli, Libya and its ornithological importance. The study examined areas in Mahalla with salt-marsh habitat, shrubs and flowers and ornamental trees for identifying bird species, occurrence and status and recorded the breeding of Black-winged Stilt and Little Tern along the Libyan coastline. Conclusions indicated the importance of the area for migratory birds as a stopover site when crossing to the South from the North and back.
