مستخلص: •The rats were exposed to 6 grey gamma irradiation.•The exposure significantly altered cellular alteration such as antioxidant, lipid profile and hepatocyte.•The HPLC fingerprinting of the n-butanol subfractions of A. digitataand C. olitoriusrevealed the presence of bioactive constituents such as catechin, luteolin, astragalin, and quercetin.•The bioactive constituents of the subfractions of A. digitataand C. olitoriushave significantly restored the cellular alterations observed in the rats exposed to 6 grey gamma irradiation.
