مستخلص: •Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) improve morpho-physiological traits and Zn status in Zn-deficient broccoli.•AMF enhances BoZIP1and BoNRAMP1expression in roots leading to overcoming Zn deficiency.•AMF promoted antioxidant enzymes to neutralize ROS damage in Zn-deficient plants.•The findings encourage the potential use of AMF as a biofertilizer to mitigate Zn deficiency in plants.
