الوصف: French National strategy for biomass mobilization and Bio economy placed agriculture biomass among main resources to reach renewable energy and GHG emissions objectives. Need for a better knowledge in local resource assessment was noticed as a break down for projects development. Five main French farming R&D institutes joined forces to build a reference tool. An innovative methodological approach has been applied for biomass crops (residues, energy crops) and livestock biomass (slurry, manure) quantification. The purpose was to value different national statistical database (agricultural census, specific survey…) with experimental reference and expertise of the partners. A computational tool has been specifically developed for online use from web navigator to be shared with a maximum number of stakeholders. Results obtained at NUTS 3 mesh are interesting for policy markers and manufacturers with 120 Mt livestock manure (including 41.15 Mt of slurry) localised for half in Northwestern France and 2.6 Mt DM by-products without cereal straw concentrated in five areas. But NUTS 4 scale is really interesting for farmers and local institutions to concentrate action plans. An interactive tool platform could integrate this tool with new economic and environmental indicators.
