الوصف: There are different opinions concerning possible morphological differences among the races of Ditylenchus dipsaci. The aims of this work was the following: 1. Full morphological characterization of D. dipsaci populations from different regions of Bulgaria, where garlic was grown for a long time from their own seedlings; 2. Use of cluster analysis for differentiating populations into groups with different characteristics. The following peculiarities were found: well expressed oesophageal overlapping (to one body diameter); prolonged post-vulval sack (to 2/3 from vulva-anus distance), with variable shape and rudimentary gonad cells; lateral fields with 4 to 6 incisures; female gonad with one or two looses, oocytes in a double, alternation row; bursa normal or in a process of rudimentation; variable tail terminus.
