الوصف: We propose a new electrode structure, indium tin oxide (ITO)-bus separated (IBS), in which an ITO electrode is separated from a bus electrode and electrical connection is attained using a vertical auxiliary electrode. In our experiments using a 3-in.-size panel, the IBS structure showed an approximately 10% higher luminous efficiency than the conventional one. This is explained by the fact that the IBS structure has a higher opening ratio of the ITO electrode than the conventional one, which enables more emissive light to be transmitted outward. Another characteristic of the IBS structure is its rapid current ramp-up, which is explained by the fact that the distance for the electrical conduction from the bus electrode to the ITO electrode is shorter than that for the conventional one.
