This paper describes the P+MR based indirect current control technique for seamless mode transfer of utility interactive inverter. In the utility interactive inverter operation, the inverter is operated as a current source or a sub power source for the utility interactive mode and also it operated as a voltage source in the islanded mode, respectively. Here, each single variable based control has been conventionally used in many researches, but it can cause the transient dynamic degradation due to the controller change at mode transfer. Recently, the indirect current control based inverter was proposed to improve the transient dynamic by controlling the output voltage consistently. In this paper, the P+MR based indirect current control topology was selected to improve the power quality at mode changes. Firstly, all design processes of P+MR based triple loop are described in detail with considering the system stability and transient dynamic. Secondly, the whole mode transfer technique which includes the unintentional islanding mode, is described based on the proposed indirect control. Finally, the validity of proposed method is verified by the PSiM simulation.
