| الوصف: | En febrero de 1955, el etnólogo mexicanista y político Jacques Soustelle fue nombrado Gobernador General de Argelia por un año, al comienzo del período que se convertiría en la Guerra de Argelia. Diseñó e implementó una serie de reformas llamadas “Plan Soustelle”, en parte inspiradas en el modelo mexicano de integración y el indigenismo que había observado durante sus investigaciones etnográficas, en México, a principios de la década de treinta. Tras recordar los análisis de Soustelle sobre la política indigenista mexicana, el artículo repasa algunas de las medidas emblemáticas de su plan que tienen sus raíces en la ingeniería social indigenista. En février 1955, l’ethnologue mexicaniste et homme politique Jacques Soustelle a été nommé gouverneur général de l’Algérie pour un an, au tout début de la période qui allait devenir la guerre d’Algérie. Il a conçu et mis en place une série de réformes appelée le « plan Soustelle » qui s’inspirait en partie du modèle d’intégration mexicain et de l’indigénisme, tels qu’il les avait observés pendant ses séjours ethnographiques au Mexique, au début des années 1930. Après avoir rappelé les analyses formulées par Soustelle sur la politique indigéniste mexicaine, l’article revient sur quelques mesures emblématiques du plan Soustelle qui trouvent leur racine dans l’ingénierie sociale indigéniste. In February 1955, the mexicanist ethnologist and politician Jacques Soustelle was appointed Governor General of Algeria for one year, at the very beginning of the period that was to become the Algerian War. He designed and implemented a series of reforms called the “Soustelle Plan”, which were inspired in part by the Mexican model of integration and indigenism as he had observed during his ethnographic fieldwork in Mexico in the early 1930s. After recalling Soustelle’s analyses of Mexican indigenist policy, the article reviews some of the emblematic measures of the Soustelle plan that are rooted in social engineering of the indigenist policy. |
