La notion de corpus sensible est explorée dans cet article à partir d’un corpus touchant au deuil d’enfant. Le caractère sensible des corpus est défini par les critères juridiques liés à la protection de la vie privée et par le trait phénoménologique de l’émotion. L’analyse de discours privés, ceux de parents endeuillés, pose au chercheur et à la chercheuse un dilemme moral ainsi que des questions pratiques d’exploitation de données. Dans quelle mesure peut-on utiliser ses données ? Qu’impose la législation à cet égard ? Mais surtout, quelle attitude éthique adopter ? De ces réflexions a été développée la notion d’intention dans un cadre épistémique et moral. This article explores the notion of a sensitive “corpus” using as a point of departure a corpus on mourning a child. The sensitive nature of the information in a corpus is defined by legal criteria relating to the protection of privacy and by the phenomenology of emotion. Analysing the private thoughts expressed in words by mourning parents poses a moral dilemma to the researcher and a number of practical questions on how the information can be used, and to what extent. What dœs the law say in this respect ? And, above all, what attitude should be adopted from the ethical standpoint ? Considering these questions has enabled us to develop the notion of intention within an epistemic and moral framework.
