| الوصف: | There are many empirical studies that establish a relationship between personality patterns and eating disorders (ED). In addition, other clinical variables have been related to these disorders. In this way, and starting from the information collected by the reviewed bibliography, we have proceeded to the analysis of the personality patterns and clinical variables related to the ED in a group of patients of the ED program of the University Hospital of Guadalajara. The sample consists of 118 patients, all of them women, aged between 18 and 59 years, and an average age of 31.90 (SD = 10.23). For the collection of clinical and diagnostic information, the clinical interview was used, as well as the Millon Multiaxial Clinical Inventory (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III, MCMI-III) and the Inventory of Eating Disorders-2 (Eating Disorders Inventory-2, EDI-2). In relation to the three diagnostic groups, no significant differences were found in terms of age, finding significant differences only in the following variables: avoidant pattern (F (2,115) = 3.57, p <.05) and histrionic pattern (F ( 2,115) = 4.75, p<.01) of the MCMI; bulimia scale (F (2, 115) = 10.65; p <.001) and body dissatisfaction scale (F (2, 115) = 7.3, p <. 001) of EDI-2. The data found are consistent with previous studies, but they do not allow us to reach clear conclusions, so it is necessary to continue deepening both the relationship between the ED and the personality patterns, as well as the type of linkage that exists. Existen muchos estudios empíricos que establecen relación entre los patrones de personalidad y los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria (TCA). Además, en consonancia con estos trastornos se han relacionado otras variables clínicas. De este modo, y partiendo de la información recogida por la bibliografía revisada se ha procedido al análisis de los patrones de personalidad y variables clínicas relacionadas con el TCA en un grupo de pacientes del programa de TCA del Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara. La muestra se compone de 118 pacientes, todas ellas mujeres, con edades comprendidas entre los 18 y los 59 años, y una edad media de 31,90 (DT = 10,23). Para la recogida de información clínica y diagnóstica se utilizó la entrevista clínica, así como el Inventario clínico multiaxial de Millon (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III, MCMI-III) y el Inventario de Trastornos Alimentarios-2 (Eating Disorders Inventory-2, EDI-2). En relación con los tres grupos diagnósticos, no se encontraron diferencias significativas en cuanto a edad, encontrando diferencias significativas únicamente en las siguientes variables: patrón evitativo (F(2,115)= 3,57, p<.05) y patrón histriónico (F(2,115) = 4,75, p<.01) del MCMI; escala bulimia (F(2, 115)= 10,65; p<.001) y escala insatisfacción corporal (F(2, 115)= 7,3, p<. 001) del EDI-2. Los datos encontrados son congruentes con estudios previos, pero no permiten llegar a conclusiones claras, de modo que es necesario continuar profundizando tanto sobre la relación entre los TCA y los patrones de personalidad, cómo sobre el tipo de vinculación existente. |
