| الوصف: | Cet article propose de relire le premier roman publié par Romain Gary sous le pseudonyme d’Émile Ajar sous un éclairage zoopoétique. L’écriture de Gros-Câlin, qui se veut mimétique des circonvolutions du serpent, transcrit-elle réellement ce que serait le point de vue et les manières d’être du serpent, ou est-elle simplement la justification maladroite d’un narrateur à la fois « naïf » et « fou » (Riggan, 1981) ? Nous montrerons comment R. Gary/É. Ajar propose dans Gros-Câlin un discours sur l’impossible devenir-animal, sur les échecs de la communication interspécifique, et sur la recherche pathétique et vaine d’une impossible « fraternité » humanimale. Il s’avèrera que c’est justement en problématisant les difficultés et les limites de toute écriture sur l’animal que l’œuvre rend paradoxalement possible le zoocentrage. This article aims to reread the first novel published by Romain Gary under the pseudonym of Émile Ajar under a zoopoetic light. Gros-Câlin’s writing, which aims to mimic the snake’s convolutions, really transcribe what would be an ophic cognitive style, or is it simply the clumsy justification of a narrator who is both "naive" and "crazy" (Riggan, 1981)? We will show how R. Gary/É. Ajar offers in Gros-Câlin a discourse on the impossible becoming-animal, on the failures of interspecific communication, and on the pathetic and vain search for an impossible humanimal "brotherhood". It will turn out that it is precisely by problematizing the difficulties and the limits of any writing on the animal that the book paradoxically makes possible the zoocentring. |
