| الوصف: | Nowadays, the material bases of social inequality require the acknowledging of the assets and social factors as interdependent concepts. Soria, a small town in the north of Castile, has not yet been studied from this perspective, for which we are compelled to present here preliminary aspects such as the distribution of wealth and household incomes in the mid-eighteenth century. This short period permit us to combine two important sources: The cadastre of Ensenada and several partition requests. These sources have revealed an extreme concentration of real estate and livestock, and also well defined patrimonial categories. Hoy día debemos entender el patrimonio y el factor cultural como términos interdependientes en el estudio de las bases materiales de la diferenciación social. La ciudad de Soria, situada en el norte de Castilla, no ha sido todavía objeto de estudio en esta materia, por lo que abordaremos aquí cuestiones preliminares tales como la distribución de la riqueza y la cuantía de los niveles patrimoniales de las familias a mediados del siglo XVIII. Este breve periodo permite combinar dos fuentes fundamentales: el Catastro de Ensenada y las particiones de bienes, las cuales han desvelado una fuerte concentración de los bienes raíces y pecuarios, así como unas categorías patrimoniales bien definidas. |
