| الوصف: | En dépit du rôle fondateur des Grecs dans la pensée politique occidentale, un élément essentiel de l’imaginaire politique (la métaphore du corps politique constitué par l’ensemble des citoyens) ne trouve pas son origine dans la théorie politique grecque classique. Cette métaphore, qui a peut-être des origines proche-orientales très anciennes, est attestée, après la période classique grecque, avec une connotation antidémocratique et anti-égalitaire très marquée, chez les historiens ou historiographes grecs et romains relatant la sécession de la plèbe romaine au ve siècle avant J.-C., et, d’autre part, dans la pensée chrétienne relative à la définition de la communauté ecclésiale comme corps dont le Christ est la tête. Notwithstanding the preponderant part played in the western political thinking by the Greeks, a fundamental element of the imaginary in politics (the metaphor of the political body composed of all the citizens gathered) does not proceed from the Greek classical theory about politics. For that metaphor, which maybe originates from very ancient traditions of the Near-East and is strongly anti-democratic and anti-egalitarian, testimonies are to be found, after the classical period of Greece, by Greek and Roman historians or historiographs recounting the first secession of the Roman plebs and also in Christian thought about the ecclesial community seen as a body whose head is Christ. |
