| الوصف: | Comme beaucoup de poètes latino-américains contraints d’émigrer et de s’installer dans un entre-deux et, par voie de conséquence, contraints de parler une autre langue, Juan Gelman a choisi le ladino (ou le judéo-espagnol) comme double étrangeté de la langue poétique : d’un côté, le poète est issu d’une lignée ashkénaze et non séfarade ; d’un autre, il reprend l’espagnol du quinzième siècle en le mettant en consonnance avec d’autres propositions poétiques par lui déjà élaborées pour sauver la voix de poètes espagnols tels que saint Jean de la Croix, sainte Thérèse d’Avila ou encore des poètes mystiques arabes. Il montre pourtant combien la langue étrangère, le לאדינו, parvient à se transformer en une langue u-chronique et u-topique que la poésie seule est capable de créer. Convergence de temps et d’espaces, le לאדינו devient, en définitive, la patrie graphique de ces juifs errants, de ces universels étrangers condamnés au mutisme. Like many Latin American poets compelled to emigrate and settle in an interspace, and therefore forced to speak another language, Juan Gelman chose Ladino (or Judeo-Spanish) as a singular double for his poetic words: on one hand, the poet belongs to the Ashkenazi line, not the Sephardic one; on the other hand he retrieves the fifteenth-century Spanish language in consonance with other poetic propositions through which Juan Gelman has already tried to conjure up the voices of Spanish poets such as John of the Cross and Teresa de Ávila, and Arab mystics as well. Hence this article will demonstrate how this foreign language that is Ladino manages to become a u-chronic and u-topian language that only poetry can give birth to. As a convergence of times and spaces, Ladino is, ultimately, the graphic nation of those wandering Jews and universal foreigners condemned to muteness. |
