| الوصف: | Im Gefolge des Studentenprotests tauchen gegen Ende der 1960er Jahre neue Formen der Theatralik auf, die darauf abzielen, durch Sit-ins, Teach-ins oder Happenings der politischen Mobilisierung der Studenten eine konkrete und sichtbare Gestalt zu verleihen. Als entmilitarisierte Stadt spielt West-Berlin die Rolle einer Frontstadt des Protests und als solche übt sie auf viele Vertreter einer alternativen Jugendbewegung eine starke Anziehungskraft aus, die zur Entstehung einer Gegenkultur bzw. „zweiten Kultur“ führt. Zur gleichen Zeit wird das Theater als Institution durch einige ihrer exponiertesten Vertreter wie z.B. Peter Handke radikal in Frage gestellt: es geht ihnen darum, einen Funktionswechsel des Theaters durch Einbeziehung der theatralischen Impulse der Protestbewegung herbeizuführen. Man kann schließlich beobachten, wie sich das rasche Aufkommen einer Straßentheaterbewegung auf die gängige Praxis des Berufstheaters auswirkt: es entsteht eine neue Theaterstruktur, die eines Off – bzw. freien Theaters, das sich in den folgenden Jahren weiter entwickeln sollte. La contestation étudiante fait naître de nouvelles formes de théâtralité vers la fin des années 1960, en s’efforçant de donner une visibilité politique à la mobilisation à travers le sit-in, le teach-in ou le happening. Berlin-Ouest qui a le statut de ville démilitarisée joue à ce titre un rôle essentiel dans l’impulsion contestataire : elle représente un pôle d’attraction pour la jeunesse alternative d’Allemagne, ce qui favorise la naissance d’une contre-culture ou « deuxième culture ». À la même époque, l’institution théâtrale est directement interpellée par des personnalités issues du monde théâtral, comme Peter Handke, qui tentent de renouveler les modes de fonctionnements habituels en intégrant ces impulsions protestataires. Enfin, c’est également l’émergence d’un théâtre de rue amateur qui aura des répercussions sur l’activité théâtrale professionnelle, avec la naissance et la structuration d’une scène off qui se développera ensuite dans les années 1970. Student protests gave birth to new forms of theatre in the late 1960s, attempting to give political visibility to the mobilisation via sit-ins, teach-ins or happenings. West Berlin, thanks to its status as a demilitarised city, played an essential role in the protest impetus: the city represented a magnetic pole for Germany’s alternative youth, which, in turn, encouraged the birth of a counter-culture or “second culture”. During the same period, the institution of theatre was challenged by personalities of the theatre world, such as Peter Handke, who aimed to renew the customary modes of functioning by integrating these protest initiatives. Finally, it was also the emergence of amateur street theatre that had repercussions on professional theatrical activity, with the birth and organisation of fringe productions that would continue to develop in the 1970s. |
